After his release by the Green Bay Packers, Smith initially agreed to Four-year deal worth $35 million (maximum $50 million) to return to Baltimore. But after the agreement, Smith declined the contract and I decided not to sign with crows.

The decision to sidestep his $8.75 million-a-year deal in Baltimore followed the likes of von miller (20 million dollars a year in Buffalo) and Chandler Jones (17 million dollars a year in Las Vegas) on their new contracts.
