Tony Khan addresses tensions in AEW’s dressing room

It was reported that AEW’s behind-the-scenes tensions reached boiling point after pay-per-viewing “All Out” last night. During the media event following the match, CM Punk criticized Colt Cabana, “Hangman” Adam Page and EVPs Kenny Omega, Matt Jackson and Nick Jackson, who led to confrontation Between him and Young Bucks.

Of course, this is not an isolated incident. There have been several reports AEW wrestlers suffer from heat behind the scenes with each other recently, and AEW President Tony Kahn has found it challenging, as noted in his pay-per-view comments in the media (via Youtube).

“This is a suspicious, controversial and frankly challenging situation, but I have to do better for the company and everyone you’re talking about are professional wrestlers with great reputations and some of them were from the beginning and some have been around for about a year now. And the truth is these are the people who are making revenue and help create jobs for everyone.”

Khan went on to say that it’s no secret that professional wrestlers sometimes don’t get along. However, these days, its repercussions tend to be felt more out in the open. He also said that stress can be beneficial to the producer, since the profession is built on tension and competition. Despite the rivalries behind the scenes, Khan insisted that business comes first. He revealed that he didn’t agree with everything people said about him either, but he’s able to get past that for the company’s sake.

“When people don’t agree with each other or don’t like each other, people have said a lot of things about me over the past few months like everyone else, and sometimes you have to take it and keep working and that’s part of who he-she is.”
