Nintendo now offers the latest firmware update for the Switch, version 15.0.0.
Despite being a major change in the number, this number appears to be relatively unimportant in nature. At the same time, there’s more to it than simple stability improvements – although of course that’s also included.
The main feature is that it is now possible to take screenshots within the Nintendo Switch Online app (video capture is still not supported). Additionally, Nintendo has moved the Bluetooth Audio listing site.
The full patch notes for the Switch firmware 15.0.0 update are as follows:
- The location of the Bluetooth Audio menu has been moved under System Settings.
- Screenshots can be taken using the capture button while using the Nintendo Switch Online app located in the Nintendo Switch main menu.
- Video capture is not supported.
- General system stability improvements to improve the user experience.
The last two Switch updates have focused on stability improvements. Earlier in the year, version 14.0.0 was released which came with Nintendo’s answer to folders in groups. You can find more information about it over here.
Version 13.0.0, released September 2021, added support for Bluetooth audio, update rule setting, and more. Dive into these patch notes over here.
