Timeline for Marvel & Star Wars mainboards in 2022

Marvel and Star Wars have already made major announcements once this year at San Diego Comic-Con and Star Wars Celebration, respectively, but both will be back again this weekend at the biannual D23.

Due to the pandemic, Disney has unfortunately not been able to hold their big convention since 2019. However, this year has finally returned in-person events to their former glory, allowing them to enjoy them properly once again.

Friday 9 September

10:30 a.m. – Disney Legends Awards: Disney CEO Bob Chapek will give fans an early look at Disney’s 100 Years of Wonder – an extraordinary celebration that took 100 years to make – during the spectacular opening ceremony, which will also feature musical performances, special guests and surprises for the audience.

1 m – Show Disney and Marvel games: Join the Disney & Marvel Games Showcase for announcements, trailers, and reveal of new and upcoming games from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Lucasfilm and 20th Century Studios.

2:30 p.m. – Disney For Scores Podcast Live celebrates Marvel music: Celebrate the powerful music of Marvel storytelling when Jon Burlingame of Variety Disney For Scores Podcast is hosted live. John brings the popular Disney For Scores Podcast to life while interviewing composers for some of your favorite Marvel series and movies. Hear them fill us in on the great music creation secrets that help build the Marvel universe!

Saturday 10 September

10 am – View Hall D23: Multi-galactic adventurers and adventurers from around the world are welcome as Marvel Studios, Lucasfilm and 20th Century Studios preview upcoming titles, including sneak peeks and special guests.

11:45 am – Marvel’s Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur: Join the cast of Marvel’s Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur as they share a sneak peek into the series before it debuts on Disney Channel and Disney+. It was moderated by Pilar Flynn (producer), and panelists included Diamond White (Moon Girl), Fred Tatasquior (Devil the Dinosaur), Libby Barr (Casey), and Steve Lotter (EP).

2PM – MARVEL COMICS: Celebrating 60 years of The Amazing Spider-Man: Celebrate an amazing and exciting 60 years of web skating for Spider-Man! From his humble beginnings in 1962’s Amazing Fantasy #15, he has worked his way up to international stardom. Now, join Executive Spider Editor Nick Lowe and Editor-in-Chief CB Cebulski as they team up to trace the storyboard history of web heads across six decades – and BEYOND! With announcements and updates about the magic happening around the world in theme parks, on the high seas, at home and beyond, attendees will get a behind-the-scenes look at the big dreams of Disney’s illustrators. Every Disney fan will want to be a part of this special presentation full of exciting news and surprises.

marvel It also revealed that D23 will feature a number of MCU-focused booths throughout the weekend that will discuss several Phase 4 releases. Many of these presentations on the show floor will be followed by special signatures of Marvel Studios designs for conference attendees.

What to expect from Marvel and Star Wars in D23

Unfortunately, not all of the fun of D23 will be available to viewers from all over the world, such as Disney has already published a limited schedule of what will be broadcast online. This will include much of what was discussed above, but not the popular Hall D23 board that will undoubtedly make the biggest splash.

D23 will include a panel on Friday focusing on upcoming Marvel, Star Wars and Disney games that will be streamed online. The event is expected to include reveal from LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker SagaAnd the Midnight from MarvelAnd more releases to come.

When it comes to the big presentation for Hall D23, there’s nothing Lucasfilm and Marvel Studios tell us, especially after there actually was some huge reveal earlier in the year.
