Report: Darren Waller, Denzel Berryman Seek New Deals From Raiders

The Raiders extended a few of their key players over the course of the off-season, including quarterback Derek Carrdefensive end Max Crosbyand the recipient Hunter Renfro.

Now as the club begins its training camp, there are two other players who would like more security.

Per Ian Rapoport of NFL Media, Court End Darren Waller and the back Denzel Berryman They are looking for new contracts.

As previously noted, Waller charges very low – especially considering the tight final deals signed this season. He is set to earn $6.25 million in base salary in each of the next two seasons, plus $500,000 in roster per game.

On the other hand, a tight end for Brown David Ngoko He signed a four-year contract that will pay him $14.18 million annually this season. Waller hit 1,100 yards in two of the past three seasons. Njoku’s highest level is 639 from 2018.

Waller recently hired a new representation. The fact that he reported to training camp on Wednesday – and has said in the past that he let his agent handle the contract – is likely to be a positive sign for both sides.

Berryman was a professional bowler for the first time in 2021 after being acquired by Las Vegas from Carolina. He scored 154 high-level interventions. He has one year left on his contract.
