Cincinnati Bengals (11-4), AFC North Leaders: If they can beat Buffalo and end up in a three-way tie with the Bills and Chiefs, the reigning conference champions will earn a home and first-round home run. 4. Jacksonville Jaguars (8-8), AFC South Leaders: They ended a five-year drought against the Houston Texans with a decisive win Sunday…but it had little effect on the Jags’ playoff chances. The division title will be decided against Tennessee on Saturday night. remaining table: against the titans

Los Angeles Chargers (10-6), wild card No. 1: Participants in the playoffs for the first time in four years, all that remains to decide is which division champion the Bullets will visit in the opening round. 7. New England Patriots (8-8), Wild Card #3: Not only did they avoid elimination with a win over Miami on Sunday, the Pats will advance to the playoffs by winning Western New York next Sunday. remaining table: in Belize

Miami Dolphins (8-8), off the field: A five-game slide, QB Tua Tagovailoa’s concussion and backup Teddy Bridgewater’s hand injury leave their postseason hopes in jeopardy, and Sunday’s loss at Foxborough drops the Fins from the expected postseason bracket. However, this Sunday’s win coupled with New England’s loss will advance Miami. remaining table: against aircraft
9. Pittsburgh Steelers (8-8), off the field: Big win Sunday night in Baltimore. If the Steelers beat Cleveland in Week 18 — and both the Bills and Jets win — Pittsburgh will qualify for the AFC’s final wild card. remaining table: vs. Brown

x – 1. Philadelphia Eagles (13-3), NFC East leaders: They are 0-for-2 with no hit QB Jalen Hurts, and twice failed to finish as the top seed in the NFC. But Philly could still do it in Week 18 against a sixth seeded Giants team that didn’t have much to play before the wild card round. remaining table: against giants

San Francisco 49ers (12-4), NFC West Champions: Escaping Las Vegas with a win in overtime and eliminating the Raiders leaves them with a chance at the top of the NFC thanks to their 9-2 record in indoor conference games. The Niners still need a win on Sunday along with a loss to Philadelphia. remaining table: against the Cardinals
R – 3. Minnesota Vikings (12-4), NFC North Champions: Sunday’s crushing loss in Green Bay means they can’t win over the top seed. remaining table: in beers
R – 4. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (8-8), NFC Southern Champions: It wasn’t a pretty year, but Sunday’s victory over Carolina eliminated the Panthers and gave the Bucs back-to-back team crowns for the first time in franchise history. remaining table: in the hawk
x – 5. Dallas Cowboys (12-4), Wild Card No. 1: If they win Week 18 and the Eagles don’t, Team America will move on to the NFC East throne. x – 6. New York Giants (9-6-1), wild card No. 2: The Big Blue returned to the postseason for the first time since 2016 thanks to defeating the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday. remaining table: in eagles
7. Seattle Seahawks (8-8), Wild Card No. 3: They survived by eliminating the Jets on Sunday but are not in control of their post-season fate even though they currently reside in seventh place. The Seahawks should win Week 18 and hopefully the Packers will lose to Detroit. remaining table: Opposite Ramez
8. Detroit Lions (8-8), off the field: They need to win in Green Bay and defeat the Seahawks in Week 18 to get to the postseason. The Week 4 loss to Seattle may eventually come back to haunt them. remaining table: in Packers
9. Green Bay Packers (8-8), off the field: They’ve had plenty of outside help the past few weeks, but the biggest help has come from inside courtesy of the Bucks’ four-game winning streak, including Sunday’s win over Minnesota. If they beat Detroit in Week 18, the Bucks will be in the playoffs for the fourth time in four years under head coach Matt LaFleur because their record in NFC games will be 7-5 — one better than Seattle even if the Seahawks drop the Rams in the regular season finale. remaining table: against black
