Major League Soccer won the All-Star Game for the ninth consecutive year, defeating NL 3-2 on Tuesday night at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles.
NL jumped to the early lead, scoring twice in the first half, including Homer’s solo from Paul Goldschmidt. In fourth place, brilliant Yankees player Giancarlo Stanton hit a home double to tie the game – before Twins player Byron Buxton followed up with his own solo shot to put the AL ahead for good.
The NL didn’t hit the blow between the first and eighth innings and went down the order of the ninth against the closest Guardians Emmanuel Claas, who fired the side in 10 pitches.
Framber Valdez took the AL win, with Tony Gonsulin losing.

Microphone players highlight Fox broadcasts
Fox’s booth was talking directly to the players on the field during the match, particularly the bowlers on the hill. Blue Jays right Alec Manoh was having a great time On the microphone, he crossed out three rackets at the beginning of his work. Manoah asked the booth what kind of pitch to throw to Jeff McNeil with a two-stroke, but the backfoot slider that John Smoltz requested ended up injuring McNeill’s foot.
Giancarlo Stanton, Byron Buxton take turns to put AL ahead
With AL losing 2-0, Yankees footballer Giancarlo Stanton Homer hit a giant two-stroke NL Gonsolin Dodgers, and tied the game. The next hitter, Byron Buxton followed up with a home shot of his own to put the AL ahead 3-2.
They’ve been the first to play back-to-back All-Star Game since 2018, when Alex Bergman and George Springer were in the 10th inning.
NL leads 2-0 after an action-packed first half
Ronald Acuna Jr. led the first half bottom two times down the left field line and came to score in the RBI’s Mookie Betts single. Next hitting, Mane Machado’s blunt ball hit by second baseman Andres Jimenez kicked off the double 4-6-3.
With two wins, Cardinals’ Paul Goldschmidt hit homer lonely AL starter Shane McClanahan to make it 2-0.
Shohei Ohtani is the only one on the first pitch of the match – then he is selected
Before coming into the arena, Ohtani said his strategy was “first court, first swing” and he made a shot, playing midfield against NL player Clayton Kershaw to lead the 2022 All-Star Game.
After a few pitches with Aaron Judge on the plate, Kershaw moved first and Ohtani’s way blazed away from the base. It was First All-Star pickup since 2008when Carlos Zambrano arrested Milton Bradley.
All Stars, Denzel Washington celebrates Jackie, Rachel Robinson
Wearing the Dodgers’ number 42 jersey on the home plate, the Academy Award-winning actor recounted a celebration of Robinson’s accomplishments on the 75th anniversary of his MLB debut.
Before the first game, Dodgers player Mickey Bates gathered both teams on the field and left the fans wishing Happy 100th birthday to Jackie’s widow Rachel Robinson.
