Phoenix – The Los Angeles Lakers will be headed to a potential elimination game without their captain, LeBron James.

The team announced that James has been ruled out of Tuesday’s game against the Phoenix Suns due to left ankle pain. This will be the third game James has missed out of the Lakers’ last four games.

The Lakers, who have lost six games in a row, are two games behind the San Antonio Spurs for last place in the Western Conference Championship. The Lakers could be eliminated from the championship contest with a loss to the Suns, along with a win for the Spurs at the Denver Nuggets Road.

Phoenix will have a lot of motivation against the Lakers.
