During Capcom’s Tokyo Game Show 2022 livestream, Capcom announced several new playable characters for Street Fighter 6.
Kane, E Honda, Blanca, and Dalcim all join the playable roster. A new trailer has been shown showing the gameplay for all four.
Capcom’s Street Fighter 6 trailer began with a quick teaser for Ken. In a cinematic part of the trailer, a construction site was shown where packages carried by a crane collided with a storage container and began to fall.
Ken appears and kicks the sandbag away to rescue a worker. Next, the full clips revealing Kane, Dalcim, E Honda and Blanca were shown.
New stages have also been revealed for Dalcim and Blanca. Both wallpapers seem to draw heavily from the original Street Fighter 2 stages.
Each fighter has an updated Street Fighter 6 design. Dhalsim’s outfit and accessories on his chest have been changed, and Ken is now wearing a coat.
Blanca has a new hairstyle in Street Fighter 6 and is now wearing overalls, while E. Honda also has a new hairstyle for sumo.
These old fighters seem to have made many of their classic Street Fighter 6 attacks. We see Blanka shooting from Beast Balls, Dhalsim spitting a Yoga Flame, Kane hitting Hurricane Kicks, and E. Honda slamming his opponents with his Ochio throw.
New maneuvers were also shown during the trailer. Blanka has the ability to take out a little Blanka-Chan doll that he can electrocute and move on, allowing him to create fun combinations and traps.
Blanca also has a new move in his Rolling Air Attack, which sees him perform a monster ball diagonally out of the air. Here in Street Fighter 6, Blanca now works as a tour guide on the Amazon, which explains his new outfit.
Ken has a new attack called “Jinrai Kick” that has many variations. It also comes with a new “Dragonslash Kick” that unleashes sharp kicks, and when the EX version is executed, the opponent bounces off the ground and allows Kane to manipulate afterward.
In Street Fighter 6, game director Takayuki Nakayama describes Dhalsim as a “deceptive fighter with an extremely long range” who is also a master of fire control. His classic diving kick is back here, as well as his throwback EX Yoga Fire from Street Fighter 5.
E. Honda is now fighting back with “incredible power and powerful cargo.” At Street Fighter 6, Honda opened Chanko House Edomon in Metro City where people can watch sumo fights and eat a chanko hot pot.
