Julio Urias, 20-game winner of the San Francisco-Los Angeles Dodgers, will not start Thursday night against the San Francisco Giants In NLTS Game 5. Instead, the Dodgers will launch Cory Nabel Relief.
The Dodgers have not revealed whether Urias will be injured, ill or will bring him back to the game after Nebula. However, left-handed player Dodgers is on the playoff list. Urias has been fantastic in the last seven of his last seven starts, giving up a 1.29 ERA.
He is scheduled to face the Giants right-handed Logan Webb in a win-all-game, picking a pair of teams that have won 109 games each, including the playoffs this season.
Meanwhile, the Houston Astros Ace Lance McCullers, who won two games during the AL Division Series against the Chicago White Sox, may have left the ALCS, and probably the rest of the season, according to a person with direct knowledge of McCuller’s injury.
McCullers pressed his last start with one forearm, and his forearm is now badly swollen, the person said, casting doubt on the right-handed player’s position later in the season.
Astros has yet to confirm McCuller’s inclusion in the ALCS list against the Boston Red Sox.
