If there is any question about whether the brands will work or not Johnny Depp Once again after his trial…look no further than the Dior campaign revival that’s airing prime time this week.
Depp’s face and musical talent are on display in a niche for Dior’s Sauvage men’s scent, and we caught it live during FOX’s “MasterChef” on Wednesday nights at 8-9 p.m.
Depp signed with the company in 2015 as the face of the scent, but it appears he’s reappeared recently, given the hype around him. Experience with Amber Heard. The commercial was filmed years ago when the campaign was first launched, but for obvious reasons, it wasn’t exactly in heavy rotation.
More evidence of a comeback… Sephora has also started pushing the fragrance with an Instagram ad that started showing up again in late May.
We reached out to Dior to ask if the company was intentionally replaying Depp’s face with men’s scent, but they never got back to us.
Interestingly enough, a recent report mentioned that Sauvage sales have increased in both Sephora and Ulta – making it one of the best-selling fragrances for online store sales.
As we showed you – during and immediately after the trial – Depp achieved rock star status… jamming on stage with Jeff Beck getting a warm welcome Just everywhere he goes.
The Dior deal isn’t technically new, but it will be interesting to see if other brands are paying attention and joining Depp’s mania as well. And the bigger question – will the major film studios do the same?
