This includes artists who were scheduled to perform in Russia.
The rock-and-roll band was scheduled to play at Spartak Stadium in Moscow in May as part of their Hella Mega Tour.
“We are aware that this moment is not about rock performances in stadiums, it is much bigger than that,” their published statement read. “But we also know rock ‘n’ roll lasts forever and we feel confident that there will be a time and place for us to come back in the future. Refunds are available at point of purchase. Stay safe.”
“We are saddened to announce that we are canceling our next show in Russia,” the group, made up of brothers Adam, Jack and Ryan Met, wrote on Twitter. “Thank you to our Russian fans who oppose the unjustified criminal behavior of their country. Our hearts are with the people of Ukraine. At this point, the best thing you can do is share accurate information.”
The former One Direction member had planned shows in both Moscow and Kiev’s Stereo Plaza in Ukraine in July as part of his 2022 world tour.
“Due to the recent events in Ukraine, I must unfortunately announce that my tour shows in Moscow and Kiev have been canceled until further notice,” his note posted on Twitter read. “Fan safety is my priority and my thoughts are with the people of Ukraine and all those who are suffering from this needless war.”
Rock band Health announced Monday that it will not perform its two scheduled concerts in Russia.
“My heart is saddened to announce that I will cancel my Russian shows scheduled for this summer,” the statement read. “Sadness because I know that the evil and atrocities committed by the Russian regime in Ukraine over the past week do not reflect the attitudes and ideals of the beautiful people I met in Russia in the past!”
He wrote to the Ukrainians: “My heart is with you – you have already shown such strength and determination, resisting this unnecessary invasion.”
“Everyone deserves to be the one who makes their own destiny,” he wrote, “instead of forcing them with acts of war and aggression.” “Ukraine, I promise I will return as soon as possible!”
