Call of Duty: Warzone’s anti-cheat software contains a new mitigation technology in order to reduce the number of cheats that ruin everyone’s fun: take cheaters’ guns away in the middle of the game.
Activision published a Articles (Opens in a new tab) This week addressed the current situation with cheaters in Warzone and Ricochet’s new anti-cheat system. In the article, the developers behind Ricochet explain that tackling cheats in Warzone is like a cat-and-mouse game: where solutions are identified and implemented to combat cheating, cheaters are already working on new ways to get around those barriers and the rules of the game.
However, there are a number of current mitigation practices in place to allow detected cheaters to remain in the game long enough to analyze their tactics but also to reduce their impact on other players. Basically, it’s a way to annoy cheaters as much as possible while anti-cheat developers keep an eye on them and find new ways to catch them.
For example, the Damage Shield prevents cheaters from inflicting serious harm on other players, thus allowing rules-abiding players to identify and report cheaters or, better yet, capture video evidence of their crimes and puzzling reaction to share with the Internet. Another technique that exists makes all players invisible to detected cheaters, leaving them confused and helpless.
Ricochet’s latest strategy is to simply take away the cheaters’ weapons, including their fists. This way, if you see a player swinging towards you without taking any damage, you probably know you’re dealing with a not-so-good cheater.
Below is a list of Best war zone guns To put cheaters in their place.
