Recipient Cole Beasley Retired from the NFL After two weeks with the pirates. The Buccaneers made it official on Thursday, ending his coaching staff contract in a procedural move.

But that’s the game,” said Leftwich. “I always say this: the players know first. Most of the time it’s hard for us to get to that point, but the players know that before anyone else. When you get there, when you start to feel that way, the best thing you can do is probably get out It’s a tough game to play halfway, halfway. It was great having him for two weeks, staying around for two weeks. I learned a lot from him actually, just picking his brain. . . . . you have to respect that when the players do that.”

Beasley played 10 seasons with the Cowboys (2012-18), Bills (2019-21), and Buccaneers (2022). He appeared in 151 regular season games, with 50, with a total of 554 receptions for 5,726 yards and 34 touchdowns.

Beasley, 33, will be a free agent if he decides not to give up.
